5 W's and one H

In journalism, the Five W's (Also known as the Five W's and one H, or Six W's) is a concept in new sryle, research and in police investigations that rearded as basics in information gathering. It is a formula for getting the 'full' story on somethig. The maxim of the Five W's and one H is that for a report to be considered complete it must answe a checklist of six questions, each of which comprises an interrogative word:

  1. Who is it about?
  2. What's the story?
  3. Where did it take place?
  4. When did it take place?
  5. Why did it happen?
  6. How did it happen?
